SUMMER/AUTUMN 2025 WORKSHOPS
Saturday 7th June 2025 - 10.00 am to 1:30pm.
Join us for a special class, learning how to create the correct tension for your design. We will be testing different weights and types of yarn to explore their behavior. With this knowledge we then discuss how to create your own design, or modify an existing design to your unique fit.
Specifically, the class will include:
How to identify to proper tension for your design.
How to use tension to design or change any pattern to fit yourself.
How to modify shaping using needle size changes
How to choose your own colours to suit yourself when knitting in colour.
The workshop will be from 10.00am to 1.30pm. Coffee and Cake will be served!

BESPOKE WORKSHOPS
Di and Sheila also present some workshops at the events that they attend during the year. However, there is always room to accommodate a group of students at the Studio should there be sufficient demand. Groups should be a minimum of 4 students paying £180 each for a full day course or £90 for a half day
Should you have a group of students looking for some special tuition with Di and Sheila, then please do not hesitate to contact us regarding a bespoke training session for your group.
All training sessions, are held at the Studio at Comielaw, and a Scottish lunch of local specialities is included in the price of each full-day special training session.
We can offer groups a wide range of skills based classes, including colourwork, lace, gansey, as well as how to create your own design. Please contact us if you wish to arrange a group visit to the studio for a class - tea and cake are always included!
